Refreshing Citrus Limon Matcha drink: a zesty blend of lemon, soda, and frothy matcha for a vibrant, energizing, and flavorful twist. Refreshingly unique!
INGREDIENTS
- 30ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 120ml chilled soda
- A pinch of black salt, adjusted to taste
- A pinch of chaat masala, adjusted to taste
- 3g high-quality matcha powder
- 45ml hot water (not boiling, ideally around 70–80°C)
- A handful of ice cubes
METHOD
- Begin by preparing the matcha. In a small bowl, add the matcha powder and pour in the hot water. Using a bamboo whisk—or any small whisk you have—vigorously whisk the mixture in a zig-zag motion until the matcha is fully dissolved and a light froth forms on top. Set it aside for a moment.
- Take a tall serving glass and pour in the freshly squeezed lemon juice. Add a pinch of black salt and chaat masala to enhance the citrusy flavor with a subtle savory twist.
- Fill the glass with plenty of ice cubes to keep the drink refreshingly cold. Gently pour the chilled soda over the ice, allowing the ingredients to mix lightly.
- Slowly top the drink with the prepared matcha, letting it float over the soda to create a beautiful layered appearance. Do not stir immediately if you want to maintain the visual separation.
- Serve immediately. Stir just before drinking to enjoy the perfect balance of tangy lemon, sparkling soda, and earthy matcha.
